Keep it clean

Brush hair at least 2x daily to remove tangles. Make sure to brush thoroughly BEFORE washing.

Use a Sulfate Free Shampoo & Conditioner to nourish your hair color and extensions. We suggest Isles Formula or Goldie Locks.

Gently and thoroughly massage shampoo onto your scalp and make sure you cleanse between your rows. We suggest a double shampoo to fully clean your hair and scalp. If wearing two rows, clipping your top row up and starting with the lower row/section will make shampooing a breeze. Once bottom is clean, let down the top row and repeat.

Don’t be afraid to shampoo and rinse well on the actual rows/seams. You won’t hurt them and they’re not going anywhere!

Apply conditioner from ears down, working it through the hair with a wide tooth comb or wet brush. Bring conditioner to the scalp with the comb/brush, do not massage it in. If you wear two rows, splitting your hair into two ponytail sections and working over your shoulders is easiest. Rinse well from scalp to ends. Detangling with the conditioner will mean no need to do so after the shower, so get those tangles out now!

Squeeze as much water from the hair as possible and immediately wrap your hair into a towel turban. Leave turban in for at least 30 minutes, while continuing with the rest of your daily regime.

Keep it Nice

Once turban is removed, finger comb through hair to help loosen and detangle. Work in a serum or smoothing detangler (we recommend Isles Formula #3 Finishing Serum or Goldie Locks Signature Serum) and clip the rows up in sections before you blow dry. If you wear Micro Seam extensions, blow drying isn’t necessary. If wearing traditional handtied wefts, make sure to blow dry the seam fully.  

Rough dry the hair 80% dry before using a brush. Drying each row separately will go faster. You may use a brush after hair is 80% dry and while using a serum or lotion for smoothing. Always support each row with the opposite hand while brushing, especially when wet.

If using a Bioprogramming device like the Repronizer to dry, or following the blowdry with a Hairbeauron Curl or Straight, do not use product. Using product on the hair will inhibit the Biopramming Technology within the ceramics to work efficiently. You may use products after device use is finished.

NEVER go to bed with wet hair. Always brush hair thoroughly before going to bed.

Secure hair with a silk scrunchie or a silk bonnet before bed. Sleep on a silk pillowcase.

Do not use Sunscreen containing AVOBENZONE. Only use mineral-based sunscreens that do not have the ingredient AVOBENZONE listed on the label. AVOBENZONE will turn your extensions pink and cause permanent damage.

If swimming in salt water or chlorine, wet your hair with clean water from a tap or bottle first. Make sure hair is fully saturated, then tightly braid and coat with leave in conditioner or mask to help protect your hair. Immediately rinse well once finished swimming. Always detangle hair after swimming and keep it from knotting or matting.

Cancellation and Payment Policy

All Stylists leasing space at Method Salon, L.L.C. are independent contractors and in control of their own business, schedule and appointments.  The information below summarizes the cancellation policies that each Stylist wishes to enforce within their own books of business.

All appointments require having a credit card on file to hold the appointment.

All appointments require 48 hours advanced notice for cancellation or changes.

If you cancel or change your appointment more than 48 hours in advance, you will be rescheduled at no charge

If you cancel or reschedule your appointment within 48 hours of the scheduled service, your Stylist reserves the right to charge 50% of the scheduled service fee.

If you cancel or reschedule your appointment within 24 hours of the scheduled service time, or don’t show up for the service, your Stylist reserves the right to charge 100% of the scheduled service fee.

If for some reason you do not have a credit card on file to be charged, you will be required to pay the owed balance before booking a new appointment.

All new installations of extensions require a non-refundable retainer.  Your nonrefundable retainer will allow you to schedule your installation appointment and for your Stylist to customize the extension hair for your appointment.  If the installation appointment needs to be rescheduled, your retainer is transferrable on a one-time basis to the new date (date must be rescheduled within six (6) months). If installation appointment is cancelled without rescheduling or cannot be timely rescheduled after one cancellation, your retainer will be forfeited.

We understand circumstances out of our control can arise and cause the occasional reason to cancel. All Stylists try their hardest to work with patience and understanding.  Each independent Stylist is in control of their own bookings and schedule and will make the decision to charge for cancellations as they see fit based on their business.

Blind dates are a thing of the past. We want to be able to see your hair in person and come up with a plan together. At a consultation we are able to talk about your hair’s past (good and bad), your hair goals, your budget, and your lifestyle. We want to make sure everyone is on the same page, has the same expectations, and that the sparks fly. If you’re ready to book your extension installation or custom color appointment after your consultation, we can certainly do it right then and there!

A lot of the basic questions about extensions or custom coloring can be answered via text/email/DM. We love to get the conversation started one of those ways and answer a lot of your questions about pricing, timeline, maintenance etc. We hope that by the time we’ve chatted about all of that, you’re feeling pretty serious about getting color matched and moving forward with getting a service. The consultation charge covers the time that we set aside to meet with you. We then honor that fee as credit during your service appointment.

Once we receive your inquiry, the stylist you choose will reach out within 24 business hours to get you scheduled. If you are a current client that forgot to prebook and needs to get rescheduled, simply reach out to your stylist via text, email, or DM.

Lucky for you, Invisible Bead Extensions® are great for almost everyone. Typically, as long as you have a healthy scalp with no current or reoccurring conditions and enough hair to attach to, we can make magic happen. We always have you visit for a consultation to see your hair and scalp in person, and it’s important to fill out your appointment request questionnaire with clear descriptions and photos so we can properly communicate back to you what kind of transformation you could expect.
